From the Field to the Future:Proud Ceylon Joins Hands with Farmers at 2026 YalKanna Meetings

There’s something quietly powerful about standing in a room — or a temple courtyard — with over 300 farmers who wake before sunrise, read the sky for rain, and carry the weight of a nation’s food security in their hands. That’s exactly where the Proud Ceylon Nature Products team found itself on March 16th and 17th, 2026.

Across three locations — Kumbuk Oya Temple (D5), Palupitiya (D3), and Gaburu Oya (D57/D58) — we joined the Yala Season Kanna Meetings alongside officials from the Irrigation Department, the Department of Agrarian Development, the Fertilizer Secretariat, Araliya Seeds, and C.I.C. Fertilizer. Together, we sat, listened, and shared what we know.

Our Farmer Education Program brought three conversations to the table that we believe matter deeply right now:

High-Active Fertilizer Trends — Modern soils face modern challenges. We walked farmers through the latest in nutrient science, helping them understand how smarter fertilizer choices translate to healthier soil and stronger yields — season after season.

Paddy Seed Quality — Not all seeds are created equal. Identifying high-yield, climate-resilient varieties is the difference between a harvest that sustains a family and one that barely covers costs. We made sure farmers left with the knowledge to choose wisely.

Livelihood Enhancement — This one is close to our hearts. Technical knowledge isn’t just about crops. It’s about dignity, stability, and giving farming families the tools to build a future they’re proud of.

At Proud Ceylon, our mission — “Enhancing the Immunity of the Community” — isn’t a tagline. It’s a commitment we renew every time we step into the field. Because the natural goodness we bring to your home begins with the person who planted it.

And that person deserves every bit of support we can offer.
